What is a home inventory?
A home inventory is a detailed list of personal property of your home or
business.  Included in the inventory are photos, DVD video and a physical
description of all personal assets.

Why do I need a home or business inventory?
A complete inventory can reduce the stress when a claim needs to be
filed due to damaged, lost or stolen property.  When a claim is being
processed, your insurance company may ask for proof of value making
sure you are fully compensated.  It can assist police in identifying an
locating stolen property.  An inventory can also be helpful in estate
planning, documenting possessions before moving and divorce
settlements.

Couldn't I just do my own inventory?
Yes, you could.  Have you yet?  Exactly.  Most people know it needs to be
done, they just never get around to doing it.  It takes time and is a tedious
process.
Also, insurance companies prefer third parties to do the inventory for
credibility purposes.
If you want to do your own inventory, you may call
An Invaluable Inventory
and for a consultation fee, we can get you started.

What about my privacy?
Privacy and confidentiality are a concern any time someone enters your
home.  We understand this concern and are sensitive to our clients
'
wishes.  Prior to beginning the inventory a confidentiality agreement is
signed.  At the beginning of this inventory, a tour of the home is taken with
the client.  At this time we listen to any concerns or issues the owner may
have in any rooms or with any items.  It is highly recommended that the
homeowner accompany and assist during the inventory.
Once the inventory is complete,
An Invaluable Inventory destroys all
material.
Or, for additional fee, a copy may be stored off-site in a safety
deposit box.

Do you do appraisals?
No.  An Invaluable Inventory does not do appraisals.  A referral can be
made if there are items you require or want appraised.  An estimate of the
value is made, receipts will be used when available and documented.
Every 15 seconds a
house is gutted by
fire or burglarized
and in some cases
both!
